Design Intent
Design an espresso martini drinkware set for use in a Formula 1 garage.
Target Market
F1 races can last up to 2 hours and are labor intensive. The crew would benefit from a mid race boost to fuel the pit stop.

Culture/ history
The espresso martini originated in the 80s in London.
Kate Moss asked a bartender to make her a drink that would “wake her up”.
In the F1 world, the British team, Williams, dominated F1 at the time.

Establishing the steps to craft an espresso martini

Set needed to be accurate, precise and efficient, as this is how the pit crew performs. Various ideas were explored.

Strain drink into glass
Use tongs to grab ice from bucket
Once idea was chosen, ice bucket and tongs was added to elevate drink making experience
Pour ingredients into shaker
Materiality
Durable and scratch resistant stainless steel was chosen to give a sophisticated feel
The final product would be 2 part model made by deep drawn formed sheet metal
Family of Form in Fusion
Tolerances to allow for snug slip fit on shaker and ice bucket. Hollow bottoms to ensure product isn’t too heavy.
